I have about a million things I should be doing right now, sleeping being the top priority, but I could not resist posting pictures of these beautiful flowers!! I took a road trip to Lake George, NY (in the Adirondacks) this weekend and on the way there we stopped at the Bridge of Flowers in . . . in . . . some tiny town in western Massachusetts. Google says it's in Shelburne Falls, MA and Google is always right! :-)
I am not much of a gardener nor do I have an interest in gardening but I sure can appreciate these amazingly beautiful flowers!!!
Here's the bridge. It spans over the river and is right next to the bridge that cars travel on.

This is the day I fell in love with dahlias. I had never seen so many, in so many colors or in such large sizes!

Not sure what these are but I love their delicate purple color.

Gladiolus - some of them were even as tall as me!!

More dahlias . . .

This was a really wild tree. The root wrapped around the metal post and was shooting off in all directions. I should look up what kind of tree it is - I've never seen any tree as cool as this one!

These gladiolus were nearly as big as my head! Well, not really - more like the size of plates. Beautiful!

I'll try to post more pics of the trip soon - it was quite lovely :-)
Back to work . . . .
