My parents have a couple of
cottages in Wells, Maine. They've had them for a while but I've only been to see them twice before. They graciously invited me again over Memorial Day weekend and boy, was it beautiful!! It was cool for the end of May (at least my internal SoCal weather monitor thought so) but was still lovely. What did I do there? Long walks on the beach, sunsets on the beach, happy puppy patrol (even dogs like Maine), ate my weight in salt water taffy, did a little kayaking in the rain and went running on the beach. Lovely . . . .
Nice sunset, huh? I don't think I'd ever get tired of seeing this.

View of the ocean from Marginal Way, Ogunquit:

Who wouldn't want this neighborhood??

My new dream house. I love that the doors are bright yellow.

Not my dream house. It's called The Wedding Cake House and is in Kennebunk, ME. It was all closed up and there was no information or signs on the building. Kind of cool, kind of fun, but I have never in my life wanted to live inside a wedding cake.

We stopped by the Bush compound in Kennebunkport but alas, no one was home. I was hoping to have lunch with George, George and Barbara but I guess they had other plans.

View from Cape Porpoise. Sadly there were no porpoises. Maybe because it was low tide?

I could have sat and watched the water wash over the rocks for hours. . .
