The door to my apartment is on the left. Our two apartments are separated from the rest on my floor by a heavy oak and glass door so it's really quiet. My parents and I sort of broke into the apartment on the right (it's empty) on Sunday. It's a two or three bedroom, depending on how you set it up. It's really nice and I am very jealous of the kitchen - it's huge and it has a dishwasher! My living room. Check out those huge windows!!!! I love them!!! It's the original wood. The two cushions on the floor to the right are my "couch". I just bought a new couch - a real couch! - so I should re-take this picture. That's my beautiful bike in front of the window. A perfect place to get in a good workout when it's freezing outside - I love to look out the window!
I think the built in shelves used to be a fireplace. There's one in the bedroom, on the opposite side of the wall.

my apartment
In a previous post I mentioned that I live in a historic hotel from the 1920s that was converted to apartments and condos. It's by far the nicest place I've ever lived and certainly beats the first place I lived when I moved here!! It's got all of the original wood and windows and each apartment is configured differently. What my apartment lacks in space it makes up for in height! My ceilings are like 13' high!
This doorway leads from the entry to the living room. I love the glass at the top!!!
